about dr. vu tran, dc

Dr. Vu Tran was born in Vietnam and his family arrived to the U.S. when he was still an infant. He grew up in Oakland, California for most of his childhood before moving to a small town in South Carolina during his high school years. Shortly after getting his Associate in Science, he made his way back to California to continue college.

Dr. Tran grew up loving animals, which motivated him to pursue a degree in veterinary science. However, during his studies to prepare for veterinary school, he started experiencing multiple symptoms that prevented him from enjoying his life.

These symptoms included muscle spasms, heart palpitations, low back pain, fatigue, severe immune reactions, and much more. These symptoms didn’t make sense to him due to the fact that he was always focused on being healthy and active. His sister recommended he see a chiropractor to help with the pain and discomfort.

This was his first exposure to the field of chiropractic.

Amazingly, chiropractic care made a dramatic difference in his health. Within a few visits, the symptoms subsided and he felt like he could continue his active lifestyle. He learned that he had scoliosis, which was affecting his nervous system and thus causing the associated symptoms.

After doing additional research on the field of chiropractic and learning more about the natural care and philosophical ideologies of the practice, he decided to switch his studies and pursue a career as a chiropractor. His experience as a patient of chiropractic made a difference in his life, therefore, he knew he wanted to direct his path in helping others as well.

Dr. Tran graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of California, Davis and earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in 2007. He has been practicing chiropractic in Oakland since 2008.

He also knows the importance of balancing life as long-term stress can lead to many detrimental physiological effects.

Therefore, he enjoys keeping active with hiking, golf, working out, and constantly implementing changes in diet, nutrition, and supplementation.

Dr. Tran lives in the east bay with his wife and two young kids. His toddlers keep him quite active so maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very critical for him and his family.
